I remember reading in the past that MC was designing a 600cc engine. Could this possibly be an entry into the upcoming Moto2 championship that will take over from the 250cc 2-strokes in 2011? We’re all ears awaiting further information about this mysterious TTXGP.
Please don’t give up. I know in these trying financial times, you must be experiencing alot of harship, but we have faith in you. This is truely an inspirational project.
This is a clean emission time trial GP type thing! While I’m glad to see the company making progress, I was hoping to hear it was about racing moto2 or somthing. Either way; good luck Czysz! We’re in your corner!
It is shocking to someone from “outside” the industry, to see how looooong this is taking.
I just hope that the money does not dry out. I have been a fan since the show was first on TV, and I have my gray hat! Please Please keep going until you win!
With so many revolutionary concepts wrapped up into the project, I am excited to hear that your dream is persevering through the adversity of real-time competitive R&D, rule changes, and a changing economy. As a relative newcomer to roadracing, I hope to someday be able to share a grid with some of the technology you have worked so hard to develop. Best of luck.
I just viewed the 2007 discovery channel special on your c1 motorcycle expecting to be bored, since I am an automobile fan,but was fasinated and stunned. Like I have been telling my family and friends, americans have what it takes to create the best in this world.
Hope you are continuing to upgrade your designs. Would like to see your company create other vechiles in the future. Please let us know when you race the C1, and let discovery channel HD video tape it in 30 frames per second. Thank you for being a true american invention.
I just viewed the Discovery show last night and am very excited for you and very proud of what your upstart American organization is accomplishing. I look forward to rooting for your bike in competition, and to owning a street version. Keep going!
Mike,
The energy, passion, and pure bull dog tenacity of America is shown through you my friend. I am entering my third year as an early stage company and have a sense of what you have, and are, going through. My vision breaks the norm and is set to create a paradigm shift unlike so many; just as you are doing.
I am so excited, and gut wrenched, all at the same time for what I know you have gone through in the last couple of years. Over 15 million dollars has slipped through my companies hands due to bad “uncontrollable circumstancesâ€. Imagine, because I know you can, it’s October 08 and you have 7 million dollars lined up. This is it! All my labor etc…will finally pay off…..and blah…the market sputters along with every penny. Others said just hang it up. It’s too hard, your too cutting edge…you know the drill. I hung in, worked hard, pitched and pitched anyone that would listen. I got a call Friday from my 15th investor with good news!!! The inks not dry so I won’t say it
Keep pushing Mike. There are a lot of us out here supporting your heart and soul. And as soon as I am financially able…with their cash as well (Grin).
Don’t stop till you reach the top!! One day I will shake your hand and relish in another American success!!!
Hey Mike, if you need some kick ass batteries let me know. I say, Go for it, I can’t wait for the TTXGP. This is the future and you already have a rolling chasis. I hope you will pilot that thing yourself. Do it Do it Do it.
Matt
Can’t wait to see how you do! Good luck!
TTXGP should be the most interesting racing in years.
Dear Mike,
Hang in there! Your project has demonstrated a fantastic combination of innovation, impressive engineering, and will to succeed. You and your colleagues have been a true inspiration for years, far beyond other ventures in the motorcycle industry.
I am sure whatever course you decide to take, you will reach your goals. Thank you for giving all of us the fabulous C1, I can’t wait for what you will show us next.
Rather than Moto2 or TTXGP, I’d much rather see a Motoczysz machine in World Superbikes. Moto2 doesn’t look all that interesting and battery-powered bikes simply aren’t ready to go racing just yet. So, WSBK is where it’s at. An engine from Aprilia, KTM or BMW and a chassis from Motoczysz should be good fun…!
“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction.”
……..Albert Einstein
Im sure MC will think this over long and hard, and the question is, as I see it..
WSBK or TTXGP
TTXGP will be give needed attention in the short run, and electrical powered motorcycles will be the thing in 10 years.
Maybe that is the time span the company needs to work with in mind.
Will that path give investment? I think yes.
Will it in the long run generate money through sales?
Sales of high tech solutions yes, but I think manufacturing and large number sales of bikes will be on someone else table.
But is Motoczysz a company that aim to sell thousands of bikes? I guess not.
The TTXGP path seems good.
WSBK will keep on racing with gasoline powered bikes for many years.
But is that the arena we first will see electrical/hybrid bikes first? or GP?
It should be GP, but now in a few years, but the TTXGP is on this year.
So what does each of these paths give?
The way I see it it comes down to this, what is the long term plans for the company?
If it is hi-tech development and sales of technology, then the ttxgp path is suitable.
Involve racing aspirations, under the Motozcysz banner, both paths are open.
The C1 clearly have innovations that would make it a success in WSBK and streetbikes.
The amount of money to run a team at world level is not that great, I know from very good insight in to one of the newer teams in the series.
But on the other hand to get the money to build the 3000 bikes needed to meet the 2010 homologation rules will not be easy to find.
To survive at all maybe the only choice is to go TTXGP.
One thing is for sure, I wish MC and the crew all the of best luck, keep up the good work.
Dear Mike, I’ve been involved in RR for over 30 years. I had built my own race bikes way back when and won a few # 1’s. One of my riders went on to a factory Suzuki Superbike team. After viewing the documentary this week I know what you are going through. When I was done racing and had time to look back and reflect on it all I thought were on earth did I get all the $$$ to do all that and accomplish it all and the time? But things just fell into place. The timing was just that. I was involved in RR here in the US at a time when Roberts, Romero, Baker, Nixon, DuHamel just to name a few were making history. I think what you are doing is similar. Maybe it won’t happen as quickly but you will make history. You just have to keep at it. Its all yours and yours alone. You can make it happen Mike. Everyone told me I would never win or be able to build my bikes but I did and I’m damn proud of it! John Britten had the same dream and he made it happen Mike. You have great ideas that can revolutionize motorcycling. I can offer you many suggestions and directions etc. but you are at the helm of your ship. Surround your self with people who really really really have the same passion and desire as you do Mike. If you do you’ll make it happen. These kind of people are not easy to find but they are out there. If they weren’t there would be no cars or plans or light bulbs today. It takes vision, passion, desire and an unwilling drive to archive ones dream and goal. These are traits that the greatest minds all have in common. They sacrificed “everything” to achieve their dreams! How many tests did Edison go through till he finally found it. Again Mike, surround yourself with great people, great vendors and you’ll make it happen.
CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOUR BIKE TURN A WHEEL IN ANGER!
may have to take a trip over the pond to see it.
A Green MotoCysz bike? Hmm…we spoke along these lines in that interview you hated so much. Excited to see what comes next, Michael…….
Hi Jim, yes it seems you hit the nail on the head or should I say the plug in the socket! It does seem like the C1 now belongs to history and green is in. I like you can’t wait to see what Mike and his team will come up with. Like the Ultimate Aero and who now are going to produce a line of cars and trucks powered by electric motors making anywhere from 200 to 1,200hp I think Mike is on the right track. Electric is where its at and that is the future.
Best of luck to Mike and the team and can’t wait to see it!
You guy’s are why I am proud to be a hard working american union pipefitter and why I try to buy only american products, nobody builds a better product. Period!! If I had a 100 grand to spend on a motorcycle the Motocyzsz would in my garage next to my Harley Davidson! I wish nothing but the best to you, you truly make a amazing motorcycle!! John
Sorry Mike but I think the internal combustion engine is not done yet. Not by a long shot; and certainly not in racing applications. You can’t be abandoning the Z-line4 in favor of all electric powerplants!. Not after all the development and innovation. Why?
Mike – focus on manufacturing, get these on the street. Finish your Bill of Material, stay at a liter, and get quality/standardizations tight. Sales of Asian bikes are picking back up. Visit the Ducati plant, get costs and market pricing to thier level – this design will SELL with biggest markets here, UK, and AUS. I would chase a GP dream later. AWESOME work, don’t move on my friend. I want to see a ‘bike of the year’ award and it on the cover of major magazines.
Micheal, I look forward to seeing your design in reality. I hope there’s TV coverage. Regarding the TTXGP bike, is there anything that can reveal? For instance, I have no idea the mechanical layout, but with the electric motor, does this mean that lateral gyroscopic forces are elminated?
Success and innovation are dynamic, a concept Motoczysz is quite aware and in tune with.
So glad to see Motoczysz gears are still working, I was getting worried I hadn’t seen a blog in sometime.
I just viewed the 2007 documental on TURBO Channel, Keep Walking Michael !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don’t give up
je suis triste
OK, si celui-ci marque les points & les esprits ,que ce passera après
je suis triste d’apprendre des nouvelles informations sur le “TTxczysz” par le “FAMEUX” the kneeslider :
http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/04/08/motoczysz-enters-ttxgp/
You better never give up, Mr. Czysz, because it is your C1 that led to the engagement ring on my finger. If it weren’t for a mutual interest between my fiance and I in the C1 and its longitudinally mounted crankshaft during technical school, he and I might never have gotten involved.
Now, if this missive was intended to speak of a possible 600cc model or some other new venture, I will feel better. The big black box with little white letters lends itself to darker impressions. (smile)
What is to become of the C1? I hope as well as most of the posters in here that this TTX will somehow translate into a 600cc bike for the upcoming Moto2 in 2010. I know this is an electric bike but I am sure 90% who have been following this project through it’s entirety would love to see something gas powered. Also in addition to that an American sportbike we can actually by in a couple of years.
in my thirty some years of riding i don’t think i’ve seen anything so sweet i cannot wait foro a production czysz keep up the brilliant amazing engineering guys much success
Glad to see you guys are keeping up on the blog, hahahaha still not one pic of your TTXGP, but the guy from Kneeslider had it up weeks ago. Maybe you should have him work on your blog. Anyway if you need a Boston dealer for the E-C1 I am interested. That thing is hot!!
Matt
It seems to me that with the work and efforts you have done so far, could lead to a production version of the C1. Although in low numbers and a higher price tag. The units could be sold quite easily. Make a 500 to 1000 bikes and use the profits to fund the next adventure. Buyers are happy, your happy, investors are happy, and your name is out there as a production bike. Shit I might even buy a shirt of a bike company that currently, I have no way to even purchase one…. you know what I mean? Your name and efforts are well known.
Don’t get a big head over all of this and please your customers (investors). your fans
I was not very interested in GP or GT bikes until I saw the show. I am now interested and quickly becoming a fan. I now watch shows and racing about GP bikes whenever I get the opportunity. I was very touched by the don’t give up attitude of the company and it’s employees, especially Pappa Czysz. It reminds me of the reason why the United States of America is the greatest country in the world. If you dream it, you can create it. I don’t own a motorcycle but when I do decide to get one, I hope I can afford a C1. Don’t give up guys. USA! USA! USA! USA!
So does this mean that you are not continuing on the C1? I thought this was an American Racing Project. I can’t begin to imagine how difficult it has been for you and your team. However, i and many others are very hopeful that you are moving forward woth the C1 as well and will be RACING very soon. PLEEAASE!
